Kodak Black Responds To Backlash Following His Comments On Lauren London

Kodak Black has found himself facing major backlash following comments he made against the last Nipsey Hussle’s girlfriend, Lauren London.

Nipsey, who was killed last week in a Los Angeles shooting, had been dating Lauren since 2013 and the couple welcomed their first child together in 2016. However, Kodak made disparaging comments about London, saying he would pursue her during her grief. Kodak can be heard saying in an Instagram Live video: ‘She gonna be a whole widow. I’ll be the best man I can be for her. I’ll give her a whole year. She might need a whole year crying and sh*t.’

After the post went viral, a host of celebs, including legendary hip hop star T.I., blasted the 21-year-old for his words, Kodak went on Instagram live on Sunday to address his words, claiming that everything was taken out of context. ‘Man, listen. I said what I said. Y’all tryin’ to misconstrue what I said….’

Nipsey’s memorial will reportedly be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on April 11.
