2 Chainz and Ne-Yo are joining the cast of the Starz series ‘BMF.‘ 50 Cent took to Instagram announcing that the pair will star in the forthcoming season, writing: “We making big moves for Season 3. Welcome to #BMF @Neyo … We got @2chainz locked in for #BMF season 3. Just wait, it’s going to be [fire].”

‘BMF‘ — ‘Black Mafia Family’ — is inspired by the true story of Demetrius “Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, two brothers who established an influential crime family in the 1980s. 2 Chainz will play Stacks, an Atlanta distributor who challenges Meech’s leadership style; the character is described as “fiercely loyal and determined to provide for his family no matter the cost.” Ne-Yo will portray Rodney “Greeny” Green, a local Atlanta player with “swagger and an entrepreneurial spirit.”

STARZ president of programming Kathryn Busby said in a statement: “BMF captures the essence of Detroit through elevated, gritty storytelling and our fans have passionately responded to this show more than ever before. Following such a strong debut with Season 2, we’re thrilled to continue to expand on the incredible story of the Flenory brothers as they change the game by writing their own rules. We can’t wait to see what our extraordinary producers and cast deliver next.” The series stars Russell Hornsby, Demetrius Flenory Jr., Da’Vinchi, Michole Briana White, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, La La Anthony and Kelly Hu, and several guest stars have appeared in previous seasons including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mo’nique, Kash Doll, Yung Miami and Serayah. The show is currently airing its second season, with Mo’Nique appearing this season as Goldie, ‘a sophisticated Atlanta strip club owner.’
